It’s our birthday! To celebrate, we’ve rounded up the team’s favorite childhood birthday food, and updated them to 2020; and we’re sharing them to you throughout the month.
Our COO Ange admits she’s one of those people who hates celebrating their own birthday. So she didn’t really have a “birthday dish.” Instead, she shared one of her favorite things to eat as a kid: frozen, pre-seasoned chicken wings. It’s the kind you get from the supermarket freezer; the ones that you just empty into a tray, then heat.

Fun fact: This was the pan used to for our dish sponge test.
We’ve duplicated that same no-fuss method, and married it with Ange’s current favorite food, inihaw na liempo with sawsawan (specifically soy sauce, vinegar, and onions). We finished it with some caramelized onions in the oven for a sophisticated touch; and it’s honestly one of the best parts of this dish.
