Opened back in 2017 by couple Nick and Anna Cobarruvias—he's the chef (Marlowe), she's front of house (Maverick)—the Mission neighborhood eatery has become known for creative dishes that manage to feel a little fancy but totally approachable. And that's exactly what we want at brunch, right?
Salty-and-sweet is our favorite category at brunch. You won't want to share this perfectly crisp malted waffle with fried chicken, whipped satsuma butter, and syrup.
Other brunch burgers beware, Son's Addition is bringing it with melted white cheddar, a sweet bacon-onion marmalade, crisp iceberg lettuce, and charred scallion aioli. Oh, and hand-cut fries, hello.
Balance out the beef and fried stuff with the kale and arugula salad topped with red onion, peas, feta cheese, fennel, and fresh herbs.
Son's Addition's taco kits easily feed four with barbacoa (or sweet potato for the vegetarians), house-ground tortillas, and all the toppings—rice, charro beans, chopped onions, cilantro, guacamole, and two kings of salsa.
Top it all off with dark chocolate and sea salt cookies.

Simply pick your spot in the park, pull up the restaurant's website, and find your zone on the map. Once you've placed your order, you can sit back and chill—you'll receive text message notifications and a call when they're almost there. Your order will be hand-delivered right to your picnic blanket in about 45 minutes or less.

"With the outdoors being the best way to keep distances, we thought expanding our 'dining room' to Dolores Park would allow people to enjoy our food while still staying safe," said Anthony Galura, Son's Addition's GM. "We've received so much good feedback so far."
