Del Taco is giving away free servings of its new, hand-mashed guacamole to drive-thru customers on Friday, July 24.
The promotion is in honor of National Drive-Thru day. Yes, there really is such a holiday, although one might argue this year, with restaurant dining rooms closed, every day is a drive-thru day.
The offer is good with any purchase from 10 a.m.-10 p.m., according to a news release. But in a Facebook post, Del Taco says participation may vary.
The Lake Forest-based fast food chain is so proud of its guac its dubbing its drive-thrus “guac-thrus” and encouraging customers to try it on top of any of their competitors’ foods and share their mashups on social media with the tags @DelTaco and #GuacThru today. It says in the news release it will “surprise and delight” fans who do.
