Gold Medal Snacking

They’re almost here! Y’all, I’m so pumped for the Tokyo Games. I’ve been looking forward to them for so long. I created this fun Olympics Chips and Dips tray for your Olympics watching parties! It’s a casual, fun, and delicious way to celebrate this exciting time. I absolutely love how cute this is and how easy it comes together. And it’s super flexible. Make as little or as much as you need, depending on the size of your crowd and refill as dips or chips get low. Alright. Get ready for some gold medal snacking!

How to Build the Olympics Chips and Dips Tray

First, make the blueberry salsa (see the recipe below). If not serving store-bought, make the salsa and guacamole. Heat the queso according to the package directions. If desired, warm the black bean dip.

Blueberry Salsa:

In a small mixing bowl, gently stir together the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh blueberries, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh jalapeño
  • 2 tablespoons diced red onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Once stirred together, salt to taste with kosher salt. The flavors in this delicious dip come together better if allowed to chill, covered, in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. But it tastes great either way!

To build the tray, first place the dips in five small bowls. Then arrange them in the middle of a rectangular galvanized serving tray or rimmed baking sheet according to the colors of the Olympic Rings: blue, black, red, yellow, and green.

Finally, surround the arranged dip bowls with a variety of chips. Serve and enjoy! Tip: I gave specific chips and dips in this post but use a variety of your favorites and the ones your guests would enjoy the most!
