shining a spotlight on motorpoint arenas hospitality package, nottingham.

Whether a beloved band just announced their latest live dates, you're sporting mad or you're a lover of laughs, why not see your favourite music, comedy and sports events in style with a hospitality package? I go to a lot of music gigs, I've seen my fair share of stand ups and recently went to my first London show, but I've never given them the VIP treatment. (Except the time I won a competition to meet Blink-182 at Nottingham Arena about 15 years ago...) So when the now Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham asked if I'd like to experience their hospitality package, Spotlight, of course I obliged.

With a polished and contemporary feel, the Spotlight bar and restaurant has been finished to a high standard, with amazing views of the Nottingham skyline. The marble bar is gleaming, plush seating awaits and glasses are shining on the tables, which have been adorned by crisp white tableware. For Spotlight package, you would enjoy a pre-show meal in the restaurant, drink and seats in the arena bowl. The menu, which changes for each showing, usually has a selected few options of up to 3 or 4 choices and hospitality guests are asked pre-order all so they get to eat in plenty of time for the show.

The dining setting has a luxurious and upmarket atmosphere, however the menu is a lot more accessible than you'd think. For us, the choices were between burgers and hotdogs, which sounded tasty and simple, as opposed to waiting for overcomplicated menu choices when you really want to see the band. We were seeing The National, an American alternative rock band, so a casual menu felt fitting. Other nights' menus included the likes of Three Cheese Tortellini, Jumbo Fish Fingers, Fillet of Salmon and Braised Lamb Shank. You have to imagine too, that some nights they'll have roaring Nottingham Panthers fans and others you'd have people coming to see the classicalAndr Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra.

We went for theThe Double Cheeseburger and Beyond Meat Mediterranean Burger to begin. The Beyond Meat, being a vegan option, is a plant based patty topped with chargrilled pepper, guacamole and red onions in a toasted vegan brioche bun. The meaty cheeseburger wastopped with double cheese and bacon - both served with chunky wedges or chips. I was really impressed with the food and portion size, as well as the prompt and welcoming service.

To finish we enjoyed aSticky Toffee Pudding and Belgian Chocolate Tart - which were beautifully presented and delicious. The sticky toffee pudding in particular was the perfect wintry dessert with plenty of butterscotch sauce! Again these came in great time, meaning we had finished before the support act had even started.

Already a fan of The National, I already knew they'd be incredible. But the relaxed setting, a delicious meal beforehand and all the added touches made it that much more special. If your favourite act is in town, why not add that little extra to your evening?

Spotlight will also be available to hire for private parties and events. The feature bar and lounge area is set to be the perfect location for hospitality guests to enjoy a relaxed drink with views of the city before or after a show.

Sharon Lordan, Marketing & Sales Director said: We are thrilled to be able to extend our hospitality offering at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham with the new Spotlight Bar & Restaurant experience. Our Executive Suites are always in incredibly high demand, being sold out for the past four years, so the Spotlight concept is an exciting alternative and we hope it will appeal to those looking for a new experience in a premium setting.

I was invited for a complimentary Spotlight hospitality experience for an honest review. All opinions are my own and I wasn't expected to write a positive review or otherwise.
