Did you think I wasn't going to have a complete FOOD DAY?
I've been holding out on ya, but yes, this is a food blog, so finally here on Day 8 I am showcasing some yummy, salty and savory items from Siete Foods.
I love, love, love me some Mexican food. If you suggest Mexican food for dinner I will never turn that down. Never. It's kind of like pizza. I could eat it daily.
What's not to love? Chips, cheese, mexi-spiced meat fillings, salsa, guacamole and so much more. I love it all.
Siete Foods has been great to me in the past, sending me goodies, so when I asked "how about a giveaway during my holiday series?" they jumped on board.
Siete Foods is an Mexican-American company that is headquartered in Austin, Texas and caters to those needing a grain-free diet. The Garva family started this company to support family member Veronica, who was diagnosed with multiple health conditions. Having grown up eating tacos and fajitas on corn or flour tortillas....they couldn't completely give that up.
Lettuce wraps just don't taste the same!
So they began making grain-free tortillas for their family and after testing and seeing just how good they were, they knew they couldn't keep these recipes to themselves. And a company was born.
I'm sure some of you are probably thinking...."Ally, but you don't have any food alergies?" You're right, I don't. I am very lucky in those regards. BUT.....I love food.
Any and all kinds of food, whether full of gluten or not. I had their crispy chips at an event over a year ago and sampled some of their tortillas after that - so good! So needless to say, if it's delicious I'll eat it! Do yourself and favor andcheck out all their products HERE.
My family CHOWED down on these chips and queso {cashew queso, who knew?} on a recent taco night. The jars lasted one meal. I loved the spicy blanco version and my kids dug deep into the mild nacho. Then on night two we made nachos with some of the leftover taco meat and chips. We ate well.
